LayerNext allows users to permanently delete their account and associated personal data directly from the LayerNext mobile application.
How to Delete Your Account
Users can request account deletion by following these steps in the LayerNext mobile app.
- Log in to your LayerNext account.
- Tap the menu icon (☰) in the top-left corner of the screen.
- Open Settings.
- Select Delete My Account.
- Confirm the account deletion request.
Once confirmed, the deletion process will begin.
What Data Is Deleted
When a user deletes their account, the following data will be permanently removed.
- User profile information (such as name and email address)
- Account credentials
- Application usage data associated with the account
- QuickBooks-synced data associated with the account
Deletion Timeline
After the deletion request is confirmed in the app, the user's account, personal information, and QuickBooks-synced data will be permanently deleted within 7 days.
This delay allows us to:
- Complete secure data deletion processes
- Perform cleanup of data synchronized with third-party services (such as QuickBooks)
- Prevent accidental or unauthorized deletion requests
During this period, the account will be disabled and inaccessible.
Data Retention
- Once the deletion process is completed, the data cannot be recovered.
- Certain limited information may be retained for a longer period if required to comply with legal, security, or regulatory obligations.
