Introducing Bank Connect: Bank Reconciliation, Without the Manual Work

June 18, 2026

Bank Connect, Powered by Plaid

Connect once. Stay reconciled.

Bank and credit card sync is now live on LayerNext. With Bank Connect, you can securely link your bank and credit card accounts through Plaid, and LayerNext automatically pulls your transactions in and keeps your books reconciled,  no manual statement uploads, no end-of-month catch-up.

Connect your accounts once, and reconciliation simply keeps happening in the background.

Read-Only. Secure. Powered by Plaid.

Bank Connect runs on Plaid, the trusted infrastructure behind thousands of leading financial apps. LayerNext never sees or stores your banking credentials,  you authenticate directly with your institution and grants read-only access to your transaction data. You choose which accounts to share, and you can disconnect any of them at any time.

How It Works

Link Your Accounts Securely

Connect your bank and credit card accounts through Plaid's secure flow. Bank Connect supports major institutions across the US and Canada, including Chase, Bank of America, Mercury, RBC, and Scotiabank.

Automatic Transaction Sync

Once connected, LayerNext automatically pulls in new bank and credit card transactions as they post, so your financial data is always current.

Continuous Reconciliation

Connected feeds power LayerNext's automated reconciliation, matching transactions and flagging discrepancies so your books stay accurate without the manual back-and-forth.

Flows Into Your Accounting Stack

Reconciled data flows through to the tools you already use, QuickBooks, Sage, and other ERP systems,  keeping a single, accurate source of truth across your finance stack.

Why It Matters

Manual data entry is the single biggest source of delay and error in bookkeeping. Bank Connect removes it. By pulling transactions straight from your bank and credit card accounts through a secure, read-only connection, LayerNext keeps your books continuously reconciled, so you spend less time chasing statements and more time trusting your numbers.
